"We came to Wendy with two very different two-year-old colts and at the end of three days, we were riding and doing things on these two youngsters I wouldn't have thought possible! My twelve-year-old daughter and I wanted to start our colts together and I'm so glad we came to Wendy. Her exceptional ability and talent with horses was evident and she was great at helping us to learn how to correctly train our colts. She was able to teach her methods to my young daughter as well as myself, plus adjust the training for each of these different colts. "I wanted to train my two-year-old colt myself, but I knew I needed the help of an experienced trainer. My mom and I took our colts to a clinic with Wendy. " I have ridden and ranched all of my life, but had not started a colt myself. I went to Wendy for help. I will tell you I was nervous to take the first ride. The way Wendy gives you hands on experience with the ground work is excellent. By the second day I stepped on my colt and have been more confident since then. Wendy does everything with such patience and love for the horse that she not only makes it easy for them but you too. She really taught me to work with my horse. "Riding with Wendy has been one of the greatest horse related learning experiences I've ever had. I've been to clinics and watched clinicians train horses but until I did it myself I really didn't learn or retain the information. Wendy helped me put the first few rides on my colt along with a few days of round pen ground work. I learned by doing and she helped me head off problems that she could foresee happening. She has developed safe methods for training for herself and the horse. I felt in total control the entire time. When I went home with my horse I was able to apply what I learned from Wendy and I still use it as a foundation today. Her years of experience have been a great advantage for me and the great thing is, she is so willing to share.
I would strongly encourage anyone to attend Wendy's clinics. Her clinics are flexible and based on YOUR needs . In my case, I worked privately with her one on one. Wendy's main concern is helping people with their horses."
